Above: We used slices of sourdough bread for our snacks, you can use a baguette cut into slices or any type of bread you
prefer.  We've also spread this mix on wheat crackers.

Above: Metal circle cutter used to create the bread discs.

Above: We used a 1 1/2 inch circle cutter to create discs from slices of sourdough bread.  You can use the leftover bread
from cutting out the circles to make bread crumbs or rustic croutons.  Place on baking sheet, you'll need 15-18 bread discs.

Above: Spread a generous dollop of the onion and cheese mixture on each piece of bread.

Above: Bake for 18-20 minutes on the center rack in the oven.

Snacks are done when golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Remove the cheesy onion bites from the baking sheet and serve on an hors d'oeuvres platter.
