     KQ Cinnamon Pie Crust Rounds

Above: The KQ Cinnamon Pie Crust Rounds are made using leftover dough from the KQ Basic Apple Pie recipe.

Ingredients
leftover pie crust dough
cinnamon and sugar mixture
egg substitute

Utensils and Supplies
rolling pin
butcher block

1 1/2 inch circle cutter
pastry brush
cookie sheet

Above: This recipe utilizes dough trimmed from the top crust of a pie that would otherwise be discarded.

Above: Take the leftover pie crust dough, knead it into a ball and roll it out on a butcher block to 1/8 inch
thickness.  Use a circle cutter to cut out the disc shapes.

Above: Place the discs on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Above: Put a small amount of egg substitute into a little bowl.

Above: Brush the dough discs with the egg.

Above: Shake on a prepared cinnamon and sugar mixture.  Use the circle cutter to help prevent overspill.
You can make a cinnamon and sugar mixture by combining 1/4 cup sugar with 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.  Adjust the
cinnamon to your preferences.

When all the discs have a cinnamon and sugar coating, it's time to bake.

Place the cookie sheet on the center rack in a preheated 375 degree oven.

Above: Bake the dough discs for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Above: Cinnamon Pie Crust Rounds can be used as a garnish with a scoop of
vanilla ice cream or enjoyed as a snack.
